Foz do Iguaçu Sightseeing Tour
Tour Details
Are you ready to see the best of Foz do Iguaçu aboard a sightseeing bus? Then, we'll pick you up at your hotel and start an unforgettable tour, where we'll get to know its past and monumental heritage. Let's go!
From the bus, we’ll first pass by Navy Square, a tribute to the Brazilian Navy. Next, we’ll spot the silhouette of the iconic Casino Hotel, which in the 1940s was the epicenter of glamour and gambling—marking the beginning of Foz do Iguaçu’s rise as an international travel destination.
Next, we’ll pass by the Bertoni House and delve into the fascinating legacy of Moisés Bertoni, a Swiss scientist who became captivated by the jungle and the Guarani culture. We’ll also visit the church of São João Batista Gresfi, a true architectural gem. Its striking white facade, resembling a sculpture beneath palm trees, breaks away from traditional styles and is sure to leave you in awe.
From here, we’ll hop off the bus to visit the Chen Tien Temple, surrounded by peaceful Zen gardens and over 120 Buddhist statues—including a majestic 7-meter (22-foot) tall Buddha. From this tranquil setting, we’ll enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the city and the Paraná River. With the scent of incense in the air and a sense of serenity all around, it will be a truly magical moment.
Our next stop will be the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, dedicated to the patron saint of Latin America. From there, we’ll head to the Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Mosque, where we’ll learn about the city’s Muslim community and how they preserve their rich cultural and religious traditions.
Shall we continue? The Barrageiro Municipal Market awaits us next. Here we'll lose ourselves among fruit stalls, handicrafts, spices, and sweets.
Finally, we'll return to your hotel, where we'll say goodbye after 5 hours of sightseeing.
Hito de las Tres Fronteras or Crossing into Paraguay
On the day of the activity, you’ll have two exciting options: visiting the Three Borders Landmark or crossing into Paraguay.
If you choose the first option, we’ll head to the exact point where Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay meet. At the viewpoint, we’ll witness the sun setting over three nations at once—a truly unique and unforgettable sight! After the visit, we’ll return to your hotel, wrapping up the tour approximately 8 hours after pickup.
If you’d prefer to add another stamp to your travel bucket list, we’ll cross the Friendship Bridge into Paraguay and explore Ciudad del Este. There, we’ll visit the vibrant New Zone, a bustling duty-free shopping area known for its variety and deals. After experiencing the lively commercial atmosphere, we’ll return to your hotel after a total of 8.5 to 9.75 hours, including drive time.
