Tour Options

While booking your Vespa tour of Madeira, you'll get to choose between two different routes. Both tours are 6 to 6.5 hours long, begin at the Plaza Madeira shopping centre, and include an English-speaking guide, as well as a Vespa and helmet rental.

Tour of Funchal & Câmara de Lobos

Ready to discover Madeira's capital? We'll first make our way to the city's outskirts, specifically to Ponta do Garaju, where we'll find the Cristo Rei sculpture. From here, we'll head to the Miradouro das Neves, a viewpoint where we'll be able to see incredible views.

After enjoying these views, we'll go to the city centre. On this Vespa tour of Funchal, we'll admire the facade of emblematic buildings such as the Forte de São Tiago and the renowned Mercado dos Lavradores.

Next, we'll leave behind the inland capital's picturesque streets and we'll continue our route towards the neighbouring Câmara de Lobos, where we'll make a stop at its historical port.

Our tour of this southern spot in Madeira will continue at Cabo Girão, whose majestic cliffs will leave you breathless. Afterwards, we'll have a 1-hour break at a bar in its surroundings where you can grab the fresh fish and seafood of the area if you wish.

Once you've re-energised, we'll return to our initial starting point.

Tour of Inland Madeira

If you select this option, we'll first head to the capital's outskirts to admire the Church of Our Lady of the Mount. After leaving behind Funchal's landscapes, we'll drive down different streets and paths in inland Madeira. These trails will allow us to discover the lush forests found in the more remote inland areas.

Our first stop will be the Miradouro dos Balcões, a viewpoint from which we'll get captivating views of the Ribeira da Metade Valley.

We'll continue this Vespa tour enjoying the scenery offered by other viewpoints, such as Santo António and Marmeleiros. Once we've made the most of these beautiful landscapes, we'll make a stop at an inland restaurant where you can re-energise.

After eating, we'll explore the Pico del Arieiro area before returning to our initial starting point.

Activity Requirements

This activity is done by following the guide's scooter. Each Vespa can accommodate two people: a rider and a passenger. Therefore, the number of scooters on the tour will depend on the size of the group

• Up to 2 people: the tour will be conducted with 1 Vespa plus the guide's motorbike.
• Up to 4 people: the tour will be conducted with 2 Vespas plus the guide's motorbike.
• Up to 6 people: the tour will be conducted with 3 Vespas plus the guide's motorbike.
• Up to 8 people: the tour will be conducted with 4 Vespas plus the guide's motorbike.

The person driving the motorbike has to be over 25 years old and have a type A1 or B driving licence valid for countries in the European Union. Each Vespa can only be driven by 1 person.

Additionally, the minimum age to ride the motorbike as a passenger is 10 years old.
