Day Trip Details

Ready for a blockbuster-style adventure? Welcome to this tour of the Highlands! At the designated time, we'll meet at the Buchanan Street Bus Station and leave Glasgow behind to kick off an exciting tour of Scotland's wild landscapes.

We'll start to explore the Highlands by stepping into the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, 1 hour away from Glasgow. This natural wonder has been the source of inspiration for many artists thanks to its beautiful scenery, where mountains, lakes, and dense forests take center stage.

After exploring part of this grand natural park, we'll reach the moorland of Rannoch Moor. It may be familiar to you if you're a Harry Potter fan—you'll recognize its landscape, which has been in some scenes in the movies. Later, we'll discover the valley of Glencoe, where we'll stop at one of its lookouts to enjoy the view.

Our next stop? Fort William! At this site, you'll experience one of the most special moments of the tour: the Jacobite train. We'll board one of the most famous steam locomotives to embark on an unforgettable journey through the Highlands. This train was used to recreate the Hogwarts Express, used by the characters in Harry Potter to go to the magical school.

You'll travel for 2 hours through the green landscapes of the Scottish Highlands, crossing the legendary Glenfinnan Viaduct. The journey will end at Mallaig, where we'll hop off the train. You'll have free time to grab a bite to eat in this charming fishermen's town.

We'll regroup after lunch and continue our tour of the Highlands by passing iconic sites, such as the coast of Appin, Kilchurn Castle, and the town of Inveraray, where you'll admire the serene waters of Loch Fyne.

To wrap up on a high, before we return to Glasgow, we'll pass the mountain range in Arrochar, a perfect sight to finish the tour.

After 13 hours, we'll conclude the tour at the starting point.
