Alpine chalets, Bavarian-style buildings and beautiful waterfalls await you on this day trip of Gramado and Canela, two cities nestled in the Serra Gaucha of Brazil, not to be missed!

Day Trip Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel and from there we'll start this tour of Gramado and Canela, two of the most popular destinations in the Serra Gaucha.

First, we'll visit the portico, one of the main entrances to the city, whose construction in Bavarian style will leave you captivated. We'll see the strong German influence in Gramado, that's been here since the 19th century.

Afterward, we'll take you to visit the Black Lake, an artificial lagoon that has become one of the most visited tourist spots in Gramado. Its name comes from the vegetation that surrounds it, because Rosenfeldt, one of the city's illustrious neighbors, brought plants from the German Black Forest.

We'll get to know the local traditions by visiting two of Gramado's most important factories: the chocolate factory and the Cristais de Gramado factory. Next, we'll enter Mini Mundo, a family park full of miniature replicas of the most famous buildings around the world.

Afterward, we'll stop for lunch at Galeto Italia restaurant, where we'll give you 1 hour of free time to enjoy lunch at your own pace.

With your batteries recharged, we'll take you to Canela, specifically to the winery Don Collise, where for 40 minutes we'll enjoy a delicious wine and cheese tasting, perfect for food lovers.

Next, we'll get to know the religious heritage of Canela admiring the church of Our Lady of Lourdes, and then we'll take you to one of its most popular spots: the Caracol Park. This green space has the Caracol waterfall, a spectacular waterfall of about 130 meters (426 ft) high, and you'll be impressed with its beauty!

Finally, we'll go to the Chocolate Gramadense factory, and tour the facilities. We'll also learn about the elaboration process and taste some special chocolates.

Then, we'll say goodbye at the starting point, 9 hours later.
