At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Iquitos and take a tuk-tuk ride to the Bellavista Nanay port, where our Amazon adventure begins. Upon arrival, we’ll be welcomed at this scenic port, the perfect gateway into the heart of the Amazon wilderness.
We’ll board a boat and cruise along the Nanay River, soaking in panoramic views as we head toward the confluence with the majestic Amazon River. Along the way, we’ll discover the history and ecological importance of the world’s longest river and its critical role in sustaining local communities.
Around midday, we’ll pause for a traditional Amazonian lunch, savoring authentic local dishes surrounded by nature—a truly unique dining experience!
After lunch, we’ll set out in search of the gray and pink Amazonian dolphins. Watching these graceful creatures swim freely in their natural habitat is an unforgettable natural spectacle!
Next, we’ll embark on a botanical walk through the jungle, where we’ll learn about medicinal plants used by Indigenous communities for generations. Along the trail, we’ll observe vibrant birds, playful monkeys, and admire the towering trees that stand as ancient guardians of the rainforest.
From here, we’ll conclude the excursion by returning to Iquitos, where we’ll part ways in the city center, wrapping up a memorable 9-hour journey.
