Itajaí Guided Tour
Itajaí Guided Tour
At 7:30 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel and start our tour of Itajaí, which was founded by European immigrants.
During our tour, we'll learn more about Itajaí's European roots. First came the Portuguese from the Azores, and then Germans and Italians who decided to make this place their home.
Our guided tour will begin in the city's historic centre. We'll pass by the Public Market, the Dide Brandão House of Culture and the Museum of Natural History, whose building is an excellent example of Brazilian colonial architecture.
We'll continue to the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, which is one of the symbols of the city and was built in an eclectic style. A fun fact about this religious building is that it also marks the exact spot where Itajaí was founded.
The next stop on our tour will be at the Morro da Cruz viewpoint. From here, we'll look out at unparalleled views of Itajaí and its coastline. You'll also be able to see the mouth of the Itajaí-Açu River as it flows into the Atlantic Ocean.
Afterwards, we'll move on to the port of Itajaí, which is Brazil's second most important port. We'll cap off our tour by taking you to the most beautiful beaches in Itajaí. These include Atalaia, Bico do Papagaio, Praia do Geremias, Cabeçudas and Praia Brava.
Following a fun day exploring Itajaí, we'll take you back to your hotel and drop you off at 3:30 pm.
