Bermejito River Boat Trip+ Hike
Trip Details
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Juan José Castelli to go on a brief journey to Villa Río Bermejito, a charming village on the shores of the eponymous river.
Once here, we'll hop aboard a speedboat to cruise the waters of the Bermejito River for 2 hours. Throughout the trip, you'll have the chance to spot herons, black howler monkeys, toucans, and, with a little luck, perhaps even a yacaré caiman peeking out among the reeds.
After sailing, we'll disembark and enjoy a picnic-style lunch made up of the most authentic regional flavours. Delicious yacaré empanadas, maize, and fish will give you the chance to taste Chaco's culinary richness.
Having re-energised, we'll begin a 1-hour hike along the river shore. We'll uncover the secrets of Chaco's flora and its ancestral uses, which range from natural remedies to traditional tools.
Before returning to Juan José Castelli, we'll visit a Qom Indigenous community. Here, we'll see a demonstration of the ancient art of palm weaving. You'll get to admire unique works, learn about the techniques and, if you wish, take some of these pieces home as a keepsake of this day trip.
Lastly, we'll conclude this 9-hour day trip back at your hotel in Juan José Castelli.
