Kiev Night Tour
Options
When booking your night tour of Kiev you can choose from the following two options:
Tour of the historic center
We will meet up late afternoon and head into the historic center of Kiev. Our first stop is Sophia Square, and from there we will go to St. Michael's Square from where you will see the magnificent St. Andrew's Church, perched on top of St Volodymyr's hill.
We will walk to the iconic European Square and then continue to the colorful People's Friendship Arch. Our guide will tell you all about the origins of this enchanting rainbow shaped monument.
Then we head into the government quarter, where we stop in front of the president's White House and, under the moonlight, you will hear all about the political situation in Ukraine. We will also encounter the Venetian-style National Bank, and the ornate House of Chimeras, the official venue for state ceremonies and one of the masterpieces of the city's top architect Vladislav Gorodetsky.
After that, we visit one of the most luxury areas of the Ukrainian capital: Kiev Gallery. This is home to the city's most expensive shops and restaurants. Following this, we will stroll up the centrally located Khreschatyk street, where you can try some of the delicious local food in one of the restaurants (food not included).
Tour of the university district
As the sun slowly disappears behind the horizon, we will walk to the legendary Golden Gate. From there we then head into the most popular student district of Kiev. Our first stop is the curious Red University Building, where you will hear all about the capital's academic tradition before we arrive at the monument to the poet Taras Schevchenko. This statue was built in 1918 and originally erected in the northern city of Romny.
Walking through the narrow streets of the neighborhood we reach St Volodymyr's hill. We climb to the top to see the magnificent St. Andrew's church up close. In addition, we will also visit the bustling Victory Square and Leo Tolstoy Square, filled with bars, cafes, and restaurants. This is a great place to experience the lively nightlife.
