Osaka, Nara & Fushimi Inari Day Trip

  • 28 reviews | 489 travellers
The tour is well worth it. It's true that it tries to see a lot in a short amount of time, but for those of us who are only in Japan for a few days, it makes it easier to see everything in the area quickly. Our guide, Montse, did a fantastic job. The tour is bilingual, so she has double duty, and it's admirable how well she does it. She was very easy to understand and provided options and recommendations at each stop, which was greatly appreciated.

Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Keihan Kyoto Grande Hotel to embark on this tour to Osaka, Nara, and Fushimi Inari from Kyoto. A day filled with iconic urban and natural scenery awaits!

Before leaving Kyoto, we'll visit the famous Fushimi Inari Temple, the main Shinto shrine dedicated to the spirit of Inari, the deity of rice and prosperity. Here you'll have time to walk through its endless tunnels formed by thousands of red torii gates. Don't miss your souvenir photo! From the top of Mount Inari you can also take in spectacular views of the city of Kyoto.

Next, we'll visit the Nara Park, where we can interact with the deer that live there. Did you know that these animals are considered messengers of the gods? They're even the symbol of the city! If we're lucky, we might even get a “bow” from one of them.

Afterward, we'll move on to Osaka to explore two of its highlights. First, we'll visit Dotonbori, one of the city's main avenues and one of its liveliest neighbourhoods. We'll walk among its billboards and neon lights while you try some of the most delicious recipes of Japanese gastronomy. Do you know what takoyaki is? Or okonomiyaki?

Before leaving Osaka behind, we'll reach the stunning Osaka Castle, an architectural gem surrounded by gardens and pits that reflect the Japanese feudal period.

Finally, we'll return to the meeting point in Kyoto after 10.5 hours of sightseeing.

Changes from July 1

From July 1, the itinerary of this tour will be modified to offer you an even more complete experience. Instead of visiting Fushimi Inari, we'll spend the afternoon exploring the fascinating city of Kobe, known for its harbour and famous Chinatown. This visit will allow us to immerse ourselves in the modernity and cultural diversity of Japan in a different wayyou'll love it!
