Playa Madama Hiking Tour
Hike Details
We'll pick you up at the designated time at your hotel in Las Galeras to head to Playa Grande, where we'll discover the details of our hike.
After a short introduction, we'll begin our hiking route to Playa Madama, one of the most spectacular beaches in the Samaná Peninsula, on the northern coast of the Dominican Republic. Its paradisiac landscapes will captivate you from the very beginning!
Throughout this intermediate-level hike, we'll cross the tropical forest, where you'll see the main species of native fauna and flora. Plus, we'll explore another section with gentle slopes of uneven terrain surrounded by lush green vegetation.
Without a doubt, your effort will be worth it once you reach Playa Madama at the end of the hike. This beautiful, pristine site is known for its turquoise waters, fine golden sand, and landscape of palm trees. It's a true picture-perfect Caribbean paradise!
Once we reach the beach, we'll make a quick stop to visit a sea cave. Inside, you'll discover the different natural formations and uncover the secrets in this cave.
Then, you'll have about 45 minutes of free time at Playa Madama to take a refreshing dip, sunbathe, or walk on the sand. You can also enjoy a picnic that we'll provide, which includes a sandwich, juice, water, and pineapple, watermelon, and coconut snacks.
Lastly, we'll start our hike back to the starting point, where we'll take you back to your hotel in Las Galeras to conclude this 4-hour activity.
