Évora & Alentejo Wine Region Day Trip
Évora & Alentejo Wine Region Day Trip
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Rua da Conceição in Lisbon. Once we are all together, we'll leave the capital behind to head to the Alentejo wine region. We'll cross plains of vineyards, olive trees and cork oaks to reach Évora, a city-museum declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco.
Once in Évora, follow your professional English-speaking guide and discover the town’s magical historic centre. You'll visit its main landmarks like the Roman Temple of Évora, the Capela de Ossos (Chapel of Bones in English) and the impressive twelfth-century Cathedral.
After the guided tour, you'll have time to eat at your own leisure, enjoy a coffee or wander down the main streets of Évora.
After exploring Évora, we'll step into the heart of Alentejo to discover the secrets of the region's wine. We'll embark on a guided tour of the winery and cellar, seeing the terroir, the grape varieties, and the local production methods. We'll finish with a tasting of 4 wines that reflect the unique flavors of the region.
Finally, we'll return to the center of Lisbon after 10 hours and 15 minutes of hiking.
