At the indicated time, we'll start this food tour of Lisbon from the central Praça Luís de Camões. Are you ready to discover the flavours of Portuguese cuisine?
Throughout this walking tour of the Portuguese capital, we'll visit different establishments in the historic centre of the city and taste a total of 3 petiscos, the traditional tapas of the country. The tastings will vary according to availability and season, but they will consist of delicious food such as the famous bacalao à Brás, which in addition to fish also contains potatoes and eggs.
There will also be some meat dishes, including traditional chorizo and sausages. There will also be vegetarian options available if you wish. During the tour, you'll also have the opportunity to taste local wine and ginjinha, a sour cherry liqueur much appreciated by the Portuguese.
Between each tasting, we'll learn about the history of petiscos, and discover some fun facts about Portuguese cuisine: how many ways are there to prepare codfish? What are the most popular meats? What are the most famous wines?
Finally, after a 2-hour tour, we'll conclude this tour of Lisbon in the city centre, where you'll be able to continue enjoying the exquisite Portuguese cuisine on your own.
