Lisbon Walking Tour
Our free walking tour of Lisbon will start in the heart of the city. After a brief introduction to the Portuguese capital, we'll start our walk by discovering the contrasts between the Alto neighborhood and the center.
From there, we'll head to the famous Praça Rossio, where we'll admire the monumental façade of its railway station. We'll continue the tour toward the Largo do Carmo, an important place to understand the Carnation Revolutions, where we'll stop in front of the Santa Justa elevator. Did you know this famous lift dates all the way back to 1902!
We'll continue our tour in the neighborhood of Chiado, the most elegant and cultural area. We'll stroll along its streets marked by the reconstruction after the earthquake of 1755. We'll discover why this district was historically the meeting point for intellectuals, artists, and the Portuguese bourgeoisie.
Finally, we'll take a walk along Rua Augusta, where we'll pass under its emblematic monumental arch and conclude our walking tour of Lisbon in the central Praça do Comércio, the entrance to the city in front of the Tagus River.
After a tour of 2.5 to 3 hours, we'll conclude this activity.
