St Declan's Way Tour

We'll meet at 11 am on West Street in Lismore. Once there, we'll begin a walk along the part of the St Declan's Way that passes through Lismore, a route followed by pilgrims on their way from Cashel to Ardmore.

We'll begin the St Declan's Way tour by crossing the stone bridge over the River Blackwater. From here, we'll have a privileged view of Lismore Castle. As we learn the best-kept secrets of this ancient Jacobean Way, we'll reach the Ballyrafter House Hotel.

Here we'll discover the links between this old hotel with the fortress, as well as its significance to pilgrims on the St Declan's Way. We'll continue our walk and enter the Ballyrafter Forest and explore the wildlife of County Waterford.

In the final stretch of the tour, we'll reach Millennium Park, an important part of the town's heritage.

Finally, we'll return to the starting point and finish this tour along the St Declan's Way at approximately 12:30 pm.
