Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at your chosen starting point and set off from London in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle for a day packed with ancient wonders and stunning countryside.

After around a 2-hour drive, we'll arrive at West Kennet Long Barrow, one of the largest and most impressive Neolithic burial tombs in Britain. Over 5,000 years old, this chambered tomb offers a fascinating glimpse into prehistoric life. We'll walk up the gentle hillside with our guide, who will take us inside the burial chambers and share the stories and theories behind their creation. From this vantage point, we'll also be able to spot Silbury Hill, the largest prehistoric man-made mound in Europe—roughly the same size as the Egyptian pyramids!

Next, we'll set off again for a 10-minute drive to Avebury, a charming village nestled within the largest stone circle in the world. Unlike Stonehenge, here you can get right up close to the standing stones, and even walk among them! Avebury is part of the wider UNESCO World Heritage Site that includes Stonehenge and several other Neolithic monuments in the area. These sites are often associated with ancient pagan rituals, astronomical alignments, and modern-day Druidic traditions, making them both historically significant and spiritually meaningful to many.

We'll take a short walking tour around the site before giving you some free time to continue exploring and grab a bite to eat at one of the local restaurants.

After around 2 to 2.5 hours in Avebury, we'll continue on to the world-famous Stonehenge. With the help of an audio guide, you'll have 2 hours to explore this awe-inspiring monument at your own pace. Whether you're fascinated by its astronomical alignments, intrigued by the many myths that surround it, or simply in awe of its sheer scale and mystery, Stonehenge never fails to leave a lasting impression.

Once we've wrapped up our visit, we'll head back to London, arriving at Victoria after between 10 and 11.5 hours in total.
