Activity Details
We'll begin our adventure by picking you up from your hotel in Marrakesh at the designated time. From there, we'll embark on a hiking route through the Atlas Mountains, leading us to the residence of the Moroccan family with whom we'll enjoy a delicious lunch. Get ready to dive into the exotic landscapes and flavours of Morocco!
To start in the best possible way, we'll reach Lalla Takerhoust, a small Moroccan town famous for its incredible artificial lake in the middle of the Atlas Mountains. We'll take in the views of the beautiful site and enjoy a comforting mint tea.
From here, we'll set off to Azrú, one of the first areas in Magreb to be inhabited by humans. Here, we'll learn about the Berber culture thanks to the history and traditions the local population preserves.
To continue the tour in the best way possible, we'll enjoy a delicious breakfast in a cooperative of women. We'll savour bread with honey, peanut butter, and Moroccan tea. It'll be a delightful moment!
Feeling refueled, we'll explore the beautiful landscape of the Atlas Mountains with a very complete hiking route. We'll climb up to an altitude of 6,561 ft (2000 m) along rivers, villages, and nature that will leave you in awe.
After the walk, which will last approximately 1.5 hours, we'll meet a local family, where we'll be welcomed into their home for a traditional meal. We'll satisfy our appetite with appetizers, a main course, and a dessert. We'll tell you everything you need to know about the essential ingredients in the country's traditional dishes.
In addition, during the meal, we'll be able to share a chat with the members of the family and learn much more about their culture.
At the end of this experience, we'll make the return journey and say our goodbyes at the starting point after a total of 9 hours.
