The transfer was on time. The friendly, local guide knew local things. The activity itself was spectacular, seeing those mangrove specimens.

The activity was fantastic, everything was great. The only issue was that on the way back to the hotel, the driver's vehicle broke down and it took us longer to get there. But the driver was very kind and immediately arranged another vehicle to take us to the hotel. It was an unforeseen incident that didn't spoil the activity at all. It was great.

Miches is a hidden gem located on the northeastern coast of the Dominican Republic. Surrounded by lush mountains and tranquil beaches, this small fishing town offers an authentic Caribbean escape far from crowded tourist resorts. With its vibrant green landscapes, serene seashore, and welcoming local community, it is the perfect spot for those seeking relaxation or adventure in nature.

A Glimpse at the Past

Originally founded as a quiet fishing village, Miches has preserved its traditional charm and slow-paced way of life. Over the years, its natural beauty has attracted more visitors, but it still remains an unspoiled destination where you can experience local culture and untouched nature in harmony.

Best Time to Visit

The destination enjoys warm weather all year round, but the ideal time to visit is between December and April when rainfall is lowest and the days are sunny and pleasant. This period is perfect for enjoying beach activities, boat tours, and hikes in the surrounding hills.

Is it easy to get there?

Yes, it is accessible from Punta Cana or Santo Domingo by road. Most visitors take private transfers, taxis, or join organized tours for comfort and convenience.

What activities can you do?

You can explore pristine beaches, visit El Limón Waterfall, go on whale-watching tours (in season), ride horses through the countryside, or simply relax in a hammock by the sea.
