Abseiling at The Cerro del Topo Chico
Activity Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Monterrey to begin this exciting experience. In about 30 minutes, we'll leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind us to enter the Cerro del Topo Chico, a Mesozoic formation that many mistake for an ancient dormant volcano.
We'll begin a walk along an easy path, bordering the dam between pastures and flat terrain. Gradually, we'll descend along the well-known greenway, a stretch of rocks and mountain trails that will take us through the unique landscapes of Topo Chico.
In a perfectly conditioned area, we'll do the abseiling activity. We'll learn how to descend with a rope in a controlled and safe way, mastering the correct technique to make the most of the experience. We'll also practice how to belay a partner during the descent—ideal for beginners!
Once this part of the adventure is over, we'll continue walking until we reach the Pared de los Perros, an imposing rock formation that marks the end of the route known as the Devil's Throat. Here, we'll go into an old mine with torches, and we'll have a photo shoot inside.
Finally, we'll begin the journey back to Monterrey and say our goodbyes at your hotel after a total of 3 hours.
