Montpellier Tour

We'll begin our electric bike tour of Montpellier in the central Place de la Comédie.

After a short introduction, we'll start this tour of the capital of the department of Hérault by admiring the Fontaine des Trois Grâces. In front of this fountain, we'll see the majestic facade of the Ópera National de Montpellier, which was inaugurated in 1888.

Then, we'll head to the Tour de la Babotte, a 12th-century tower that belonged to the ancient murals of Montpellier. From here, we'll continue our e-bike tour toward the Église Saint-Roch, a Neo-Gothic church dedicated to the patron saint of pilgrims.

We'll discover its history and continue our tour at the Carré Sainte-Anne. We'll also pass by the Place de La Canourgue, where we'll see the fountain of the unicorns. Our next stop will be in front of the Montpellier Cathedral, whose exterior architecture will remind you of a fortress.

Next to the cathedral, you'll find the University of Montpellier School of Medicine, the oldest school of medicine in the world. Did you know it was created in the 12th century? We'll tell you about this center as we explore the boulevard of Quai du Verdanson toward the center of events, Le Corum, and the Esplanade Charles-de-Gaulle park.

Lastly, we'll ride along the Rue Foch toward the Porte du Peyrou and the Promenade du Peyrou, where we'll conclude this 3-hour e-bike tour in front of the Aqueduc Saint-Clément.

Montpellier & Juvignac Tour

First, we'll take a tour of Montpellier, exploring various forgotten places that have been swallowed up by new buildings and concrete.

Afterward, we'll head west toward the town of Juvignac. Along the way, you'll discover various sites, including an old village and luxurious residences called follies, which were once part of the countryside surrounding Montpellier, now covered by the growing urbanization.

Before returning to the meeting point, you can refresh yourself at the Valedière fountain, known for its medicinal properties.

Coastal Tour

In this tour, we'll first explore the center of Montpellier, heading toward the Céreirède district. From there, we'll follow the course of the Lez River, where we'll see expansive meadows where horses graze.

Then, we'll cross a wild lagoon area until we reach the Maguelonne peninsula. In this beautiful spot on the Montpellier coast stands the Cathédrale Saint-Pierre, whose architecture is sure to impress you.

Afterward, we'll pass through another lovely coastal town: the seaside resort of Palavas-les-Flots. From there, we'll return to Montpellier following the course of the Lez River and passing near the old Palavas railway line, now defunct.
