Terrasses du Larzac Day Trip
Day Trip Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at the Place de l'Europe. From this point in Montpellier, we'll set off north toward the Terrasses du Larzac region, where we'll discover the fascinating wine growers of the AOC Terrasses du Larzac, and step into a mystical cave that has witnessed centuries of history.
We'll begin the tour of this beautiful region of vineyards in the town of Saint-Jean-de-Fos. In this picturesque town, we'll visit the Grotte de Clamouse, a famous cave where we'll see its many stalactites and stalagmites. During the tour of this underground gallery, we'll observe other types of geological formations, which stand out for their unique aragonite crystals.
Our tour of the town will continue in a traditional winery, where a winegrower will explain how these local wines are crafted. Of course, we'll finish the tour with a tasting of Apellation d'Origine Terrasses du Larzac wines. Your taste buds will be in for a delight!
After the tasting, we'll finally return to the meeting point in Montpellier, where we'll conclude this day trip after 5 hours in total.
