Súzdal and Vladímir Day Tour

We will collect you from your hotel in Moscow at 6:30 am and you'll be taken by private car to Kursky train station, where you'll catch the train heading to Vladimir, a historic city which forms part of Russia’s ‘Golden Ring’.

After travelling for approximately two and a half hours, you will find yourself in front of the majestic white buildings of this medieval city. You'll be collected from the city's train station at around 10 am, ready to begin your panoramic tour of Vladimir and discover the culture and customs that have prevailed in this country for many centuries.

During the tour, we will see the famous Golden Gate, an ancient city fortress from the 13th century which marks the start of the Trans-Siberian route across Russia. With the clock striking 11 am, it'll be time to head to the next stop on your excursion: the neighbouring town of Suzdal. Spend four hours exploring and admiring its historic architecture, while your guide explains why this city is so important in Russia’s history. We then go into the Kremlin, famous for its white walls topped with blue domes.

While in Suzdal, we'll visit the Museum of Wooden Architecture and you'll also have the opportunity to visit the Monastery of Our Saviour and St Euthymius (entrance not included: 11 Euros per person) which was used by the KGB to imprison political prisoners during the Cold War. You'll then have free time to eat lunch at your leisure.

Having eaten, we'll head back to Vladimir again, where we'll embark on an hour-long walking tour before visiting the Assumption Cathedral to admire the valuable frescos of Andrey Rublev. Don´t miss this opportunity to photograph the most famous attraction in Vladimir!

At the end of a full day of sightseeing, we will bid farewell to the city and catch the train back to Moscow, arriving back at around 7:30 pm. The tour finishes back at your hotel.
