Mount Longonot & Lake Naivasha Private Tour
Description
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Nairobi to begin an unforgettable adventure in the heart of the Great Rift Valley.
We'll leave the capital behind and head towards Mount Longonot National Park through the green and rugged landscapes of the Great Rift Valley. We'll stop at a lookout point and enjoy the fascinating views of this natural environment formed over 5 million years ago. Did you know that it stretches from the Red Sea and passes through Ethiopia, Kenya and Tanzania? It's breathtaking!
Our journey will continue as we enter the park to start a hiking route to the crater of the Longonot volcano. During the ascent, which is of medium difficulty, we'll take several breaks to enjoy the fascinating views and to make the climb as easy as possible.
The trekking route to the crater will take around 5 hours, but we assure you that it's well worth the effort! Once we reach the top of Longonot, we'll have Lake Naivasha, Suswa Volcano, Hell's Gate and the entire Rift Valley at our feet.
After viewing these wonderful landscapes, we'll descend and get back on the minibus to travel to the shores of Lake Naivasha, where you'll have free time to have lunch at a local restaurant.
After our break, we'll take a boat ride on the lake, the perfect opportunity to get a close-up view of the hippos and the hundreds of birds that fly over the Naivasha in search of fish.
Finally, we'll head back to Nairobi, where we'll drop you off at your hotel after a 10-hour excursion. See you next time!
