Explore a Jamaican herb farm with a guided tour through native plant gardens and fruit orchards, topped off with a delicious traditional lunch.

Tour Details

After picking you up at your hotel or the cruise port of Ocho Rios, we'll head to the outskirts of the city and venture into a lush region known for its unique, tropical vegetation found only in Jamaica. Get ready to discover the flavors and treasures grown in this rich, vibrant soil!

Following a short 20-minute drive, we'll arrive at Harmony Farm, an outstanding herbal farm. With the smell of fresh earth and crushed leaves, we'll start the visit through the orchard and gardens, where we'll find a great variety of medicinal herbs and exotic plants. Many of them have been used since ancient times for their purifying and aphrodisiac properties.

We'll also discover how many of these Jamaican herbs have long played a role in both traditional medicine and everyday cooking. Each plant we encounter reveals a story of African heritage, indigenous knowledge, and Caribbean creativity woven into the island's most iconic dishes. And the highlight? A visit to the farm's exotic fruit plantation, where we'll get to sample fresh, seasonal fruits and sip on a soothing herbal tea made right on site.

Afterward, we'll gather in the open-air dining area to enjoy a delicious local meal. On the menu: spicy jerk chicken, Jamaica's signature dish; ackee with cod, the creamy and savory national favorite; and sautéed callaloo with coconut oil and bell peppers. Everything will be served with refreshing seasonal fruit juices. Vegan and vegetarian options will also be available, so everyone can savor the flavors of Jamaica.

Finally, after 3 enriching hours immersed in the flavors and traditions of Jamaica, we'll bring the experience to a close and take you back to your hotel or the cruise port.
