Lake San Pablo Canoe Ride
Canoe Ride Details
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Otavalo and head toward Lake San Pablo, just 10 kilometers from the town. Are you ready for adventure?
Once we arrive, we'll discover how the local towns build traditional canoes called "caballito de totora," made from reed plants that grow on the lake's shore. You'll be amazed by their craftsmanship!
Before getting in the water, we'll provide you with safety measures and all the necessary equipment. Don't worry if you have no experience rowing or if you don't know how to swim–we'll adapt to your level so you can enjoy this experience.
Time to dive in! As you're rowing in these double canoes, you'll be able to spot cormorants, Andean gulls, and Kentish plovers, among other species. Don't forget to take pictures of the unique landscapes!
After this 1.5-hour canoe tour is finished, we'll return to the pier and enjoy a light lunch, including a sandwich, a bottle of water, and a piece of fruit. Enjoy your lunch with the stunning views of the majestic Imbabura Volcano!
Finally, we'll take you back to Otavalo and say our goodbyes at your hotel after this 3-hour activity.
Hotel Pickup
This tour includes hotel pickup only for those staying in the center of Otavalo. If your hotel is outside this designated area, we'll get in touch with you to establish an alternative meeting point or coordinate pickup at your hotel with an additional fee.
