Tour Details

We'll begin this tour after picking you up at the cruise port of Pointe-à-Pitre. Once we're ready, we'll hop on a vehicle and set off east to the island of Guadalupe in search of the area of Deshaies. Ready to discover the places where the French-British show Death in Paradise was filmed?

After 1 hour on the road, we'll reach Anse de la Perle Beach, where the iconic inspector's house is set up every year from May to September. On screen, this modest beachfront bungalow is the perfect retreat for piecing together clues and reflecting by the sea.

Then, we'll step into the Jardin Botanique de Deshaies. For 1 hour, we'll explore the water lily and koi ponds, and parrots among the trees and the talipot palm, a unique species on the island. You'll also have the opportunity to feed the animals while we tell you how this botanical garden was used for outdoor investigation scenes.

Afterward, we'll go to the Port of Deshaies, which is Port Honoré in the fictional show, where the characters' unforgettable arrivals and departures by boat were filmed. From here, we'll have an incredible view of the bay as we head to the town and admire its white church.

Our next stop? The Honoré Police Station, the only permanent set of the show, installed in a former parish hall. If you enjoy the tour from December to April, it will be open to the public, and you'll get to visit it for 20 minutes. If your tour is not during this time, you'll see it from outside and take keepsake photos.

In this area, we'll visit the famous Catherine's Bar, where, if we're lucky, it will be available, and you'll have 1 hour of free time to enjoy lunch. If the restaurant is full, we'll head to another place near the town for lunch.

After lunch, we'll go on a scenic tour along Grand Anse Beach. We'll make a short stop at a strategic point so you can take pictures of the Langley Resort Fort Royal, the frequent filming site for Death in Paradise, and where the crew and actors would stay.

Finally, we'll return to the cruise port, where we'll say our goodbyes after 6.5 hours.

Partial Closures

Please note that Catherine's Bar is closed on Wednesdays. In this case, we'll take you to another restaurant so you can have lunch on your own.
