After picking you up from your hotel at the designated time, we'll hop on a minibus and head to the Vesuvius National Park. Are you ready to start this exciting hiking tour?
The 1-hour 30-minute hike will take us to see the incredible landscapes of Vesuvius from up high, climbing on foot 167 meters to reach the top. The effort will be worth it, as we'll gaze out at incredible panoramic views of Monte Somma.
Along the hike, we'll admire the extensive solidified lava flows that expanded on the slopes of the volcano and we'll also discover that the flora has been perfectly integrated into this seemingly barren landscape. Did you know that Vesuvius is full of vineyards? We'll learn the importance of winemaking in this area and many other facts.
Of course, we'll have time to revisit one of the most violent but also fascinating chapters in the history of Vesuvius: the eruption in 79 AD that buried the ancient city of Herculaneum and even Pompeii itself.
Our path will lead us to the area of 'La Capannuccia', where we'll admire the volcanic cone emitting volcanic gas. What's more, from this point you'll perfectly see the Gulf of Naples. It'll be quite the view, trust us.
Slowly, we'll begin our descent and return to the minibus, which will take us to an establishment in the area, where we'll enjoy a tasting of local products. This activity will come to an end back at your hotel after a total of 3.5 hours.
Hotel Pickup
This activity includes pickup from Pompeii and Castellammare di Stabia.
- If you select the option from Castellammare di Stabia, pickup will take place from your accommodation at 1 pm.
- If you select the option from Pompeii, we'll pick you up from your hotel at 1:15 pm.
