Rabo de Peixe Day Trip
Day Trip Details
At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up at the meeting point in Ponta Delgada to begin this day trip to Rabo de Peixe. In less than 30 minutes, we’ll arrive at this coastal town in the north of São Miguel, known for its fishing atmosphere and strong local identity.
We’ll start by exploring the Feira de Santana, Rabo de Peixe’s lively, colorful market, where local farmers, beekeepers, and artisans proudly display their products. You’ll be able to see how fruit, honey, cheese, and typical island products are sold!
Afterwards, we’ll head to the picturesque port of Rabo de Peixe, full of maritime traditions. We’ll stroll through the town’s historic center and admire the main church, a symbol of the character and devotion of its residents.
To end the tour on a sweet note, we’ll visit the Chocolatinho Factory, a small workshop where artisanal chocolates are made with fillings inspired by the typical flavors of São Miguel. There, you’ll be able to sample some of their handmade treats on your own.
Finally, we’ll begin the return journey to Ponta Delgada and say goodbye at the starting point after a total of 4 hours.
