At the designated time, we'll meet at the Ipiranga gas station, where we'll begin this bike tour of Porto de Galinhas, a town in the state of Pernambuco known for its beautiful, crystal-clear waters, framed between coconut palm trees.
Once we're all gathered, we'll provide a short introduction chat, so the activity can be carried out comfortably and safely. Afterward, we'll begin our bike trail along the region's nature trails. Let's go!
Along the route, we'll show you the different sides of Porto de Galinhas, from the native forest to the point where the sea meets the Maracaipe River. We'll peddle among the vegetation of the Atlantic Forest, passing through mangroves until we reach the Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Conceição do Outeiro, the tallest point on the route, at 85 mi (137 m) tall.
The bike tour will also take us along the route of the slaves, a crucial location to understand the history of Porto de Galinhas. The name of this town comes from this moment, when it was a docking port to transport enslaved people, transported in boxes under the name "chickens of Angola."
Finally, we'll start our journey back to the starting point, where we'll say our goodbyes after a total of 3 hours.
