Potosí Guided Tour
Potosí Guided Tour
When booking the guided tour of Potosí, you can select one of two options, both beginning in calle Ayacucho:
Guided Tour (1.5 hours)
After meeting at the meet point at your chosen time, we'll set off on a guided tour of the city. We'll start by visiting the San Francisco Church and the Holy Basilica Cathedral the main religious monument in the city. The cathedral was built in the 19th century, in the same place where the old cathedral of the city had collapsed years before.
We'll walk along old colonial roads such as Calle Sucre or Nogales, until we reach the Plaza del 10 de Noviembre. The Potosí Revolution that took place in 1810 is commemorated in this square which is now one of the city's main points of interest.
We will be able to see what the daily life of Potosí locals is like in the most authentic way while we visit its central square and many other emblematic corners. After 1 hour 30 minutes of walking, we'll end the tour back at the starting point.
Guided tour + Museum ticket (3 hours)
Do you want more? If you book this modality, we will follow the same itinerary described in the guided tour of Potosí and, in addition, we will be able to dedicate an extra hour and a half to visit a city museum, either the National Mint of Bolivia or the Santa Teresa Museum. You decide!
