Praia do Forte Tour
Tour Details
After picking you up from one of the selected hotels, we'll set off to visit one of the most precious treasures of the Brazilian coast: Praia do Forte. Nicknamed the Brazilian Polynesia, it's a place that combines the rustic charm of an old fishing village with the vibrant spirit of tourists.
Upon arrival, we'll share the secrets of this corner in the northwest of Salvador de Bahia. Then, we'll give you 4 hours of free time to explore its streets and pastel-colored houses, which invite you to stroll around at a leisurely pace. You'll also discover craft shops, bars with Bahian music, and restaurants filled with the aromas of moqueca and passion fruit.
Among the most iconic places to visit in Praia do Forte is the Tamar Project, a pioneering center for the preservation of sea turtles. Thousands of hatchlings are born here every year before embarking on their journey to the ocean. You can see their tanks and aquariums, observing these creatures up close and learning about local efforts to protect them.
It’s also highly recommended to visit the Humpback Whale Institute, the only space in Brazil devoted exclusively to the protection of humpback whales. During the visit, you can learn about the behavior of these ocean giants, which come here every winter to reproduce off the Bahian coast.
Of course, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy the main beach at Praia do Forte, swim in its calm waters, and relax under the sun. The highlight comes at sunset, when the horizon turns golden, blending with the blue of the Atlantic. A perfect photo moment!
Finally, we'll regroup to return to the hotel, concluding the tour 8 hours after pickup.
