Tour Details

At the indicated time, we’ll meet next to the Monument to the Fisherwoman to begin this free tour of Puerto de la Cruz. Are you ready to discover the history and monuments of one of the most visited areas in Tenerife?

First, we’ll walk along the Puerto de la Cruz pier, a key spot for understanding the town’s origins. We’ll admire the sculpture of the Virgin of Carmen, patron saint of sailors, and recall how the Castilian conquest of the island unfolded in the 15th century.

We’ll continue the route by strolling through the oldest streets of the town, learning how this corner transformed from a humble fishing village into one of the most popular destinations in Tenerife. Of course, we’ll also talk about the notable figures who have passed through Puerto de la Cruz.

As we walk, we’ll see iconic places such as Plaza de Europa, the Santa Bárbara battery, and the Church of Nuestra Señora de la Peña de Francia. We’ll also take a closer look at the architecture of traditional Canarian houses. You won’t stop taking photos!

Finally, after 1.5 hours of sightseeing, we’ll conclude this free tour of Puerto de la Cruz in the town’s historic center.
