Guane Guane Mountain Hike
At 7 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Putre and drive to Parinacota. In the outskirts of this Andean village we'll find the sacred Guane Guane Mountain. Let's go!
We'll hop out of our vehicle at the base of this peak and start hiking. Our medium-difficulty hike will last around 9 hours and take us through breathtaking scenery. The summit of the mountain towers at an altitude of 16,732 feet (5,100 metres) and boasts spectacular views.
From the summit of Guane Guane, we'll gaze out at fantastic views of the Lauca National Park. We'll also see Chungará Lake and the Cotacotani Lagoons, which stretch out as far as the eye can see.
When we reach the halfway point, we'll have a picnic lunch of sandwiches, dried fruit, chocolates and juices. We'll then start making our way back down Guane Guane to the starting point of the trail.
It'll then be time to take you back to your hotel in Putre and drop you off between 3 and 5 pm.
