Rio de Janeiro Carnival Parade Sector 9 Tickets
Why Book a Ticket in Sector 9 of the Sambadrome?
Watching the Carnival in Río de Janeiro in the Sambodrome is an experience that you have to try at least once in your life. This venue, which was built specifically for the samba school parade, consists of a 700 m (2,296 ft) long avenue flanked by bleachers, boxes, and grandstands for spectators.
With this ticket, you'll have access to Sector 9 of the Sambadrome. This area is the only section of the stands with numbered seats, offering a much more comfortable experience. This sector has incredible, complete views of the entire parade.
From your seats in Sector 9, you can enjoy the vibrant sound throughout the show, as well as admire every detail of the wonderful decoration on the floats that accompany the samba schools along the route.
Each samba school will perform for at least 65 minutes, with a time limit of 82 minutes. It'll be a unique moment!
Plus, so you can remember this one-of-a-kind experience, we'll provide a personalized Rio Carnival bag with snacks.
Types of Parades
The parade you'll see depends on the date you choose during the booking process. At the Sambodrome, the samba school parades are divided into different types depending on the school's category. As the Carnival week progresses, the groups will perform in ascending order of prestige, finishing with the parade of the elite schools.
These are the main types of parades in the Sambodrome:
Access Group (February 13 & 14, 2026)
The Access Group performs some of the most spectacular acts in the parade. The competition is the most exciting, as the best school will become part of the Special Group the following year. The winning school in the Access group moves up to the higher division, while the school that comes last in the Special Group is relegated to this category.
Special Group (February 15, 16, & 17, 2026)
The Special Group is formed by 12 of the best elite samba schools in Rio de Janeiro. Their performances will take your breath away! The schools compete among themselves to win the sought-after Super Champion title.
Champions Parade (February 21, 2026)
This parade is held on the Saturday following Ash Wednesday, after the results have been announced. The six best samba schools in the Special Group participate in this triumphal parade. It's not a competition, but rather a night of celebration and glory, in which the champions parade once again to officially close the Rio Carnival.
