At the designated time, we'll meet at the footvolley academy in front of the Avenida Atlántica and Copacanaba Beach. Here, you'll meet the instructors, who will greet us and begin this lesson on this new beach sport.
After heading to Copacabana Beach, we'll begin diving into the history of footvolley. Did you know it was created exactly on this beach in Río de Janeiro? Then, we'll start with a series of warming-up exercises adapted to this sport. You'll get your body ready and learn how to activate your reflexes with dynamic movements.
Later, we'll focus on the basic techniques, such as serving, receiving, setting and attacking. The coaches will guide us step-by-step so we can master each skill. At the end of the lesson, you'll have time to play a game. Balanced teams will be made depending on the participants' levels, which will make the game dynamic and exciting.
This will be the perfect moment to put into practice what you learned, have fun, and meet other travelers and locals in a relaxed atmosphere with the Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop.
After 1.5 hours on the beach, we'll conclude this footvolley lesson. Until next time!
