Rio Modern Art Museum Guided Tour
Tour Details
At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Rio de Janeiro and head to the Museum of Modern Art, where we’ll explore its facilities on a guided tour.
The Museum of Modern Art was founded in 1948 by a group of intellectuals and collectors with the goal of introducing contemporary artistic movements to Brazil. Its current building was designed by the renowned architect Affonso Eduardo Reidy, making it a true masterpiece of Brazilian architecture.
Once inside, we’ll begin exploring its galleries, home to an impressive collection of over 15,000 works of art, including sculptures, paintings, photographs, and experimental pieces.
Each gallery offers new perspectives on Brazilian art, history, and cultural expression. Many of the works on display were created by internationally renowned artists, as well as influential Latin American creators who helped shape the continent’s artistic identity.
But the guided tour doesn’t end inside the museum. Afterward, we’ll take a walk through the Aterro do Flamengo, located right in front of the building. This vast green area, designed by Burle Marx, is one of Rio’s most charming spots, surrounded by gardens and offering privileged views of Guanabara Bay.
Finally, we’ll take you back to your hotel, where the tour will end after a total of 4 hours.
