Rome Evening Tour
Tour Options
During the booking process, you can choose between two options. Both include an English-speaking guide who will tell you all about the monuments in Rome that we'll pass. Please read the details for each option below:
Walking Tour (2-2.5 Hours)
We'll meet at the Piazza Barberini, close to the Fontana del Tritone, where this walking tour of the illuminated Rome will begin.
First, we'll head to the Fontana di Trevi, one of the iconic landmarks of Rome, where you'll fall in love with this lit-up monument. After taking plenty of photos and throwing a coin in the fountain, we'll walk toward the Galleria Sciarra.
During the tour, we'll pass the Piazza di Pietra to see the various Corinthian columns that the square houses. We'll share all their secrets! We'll continue walking around Rome until we reach the Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola at Campus Martius.
One of the most exciting moments on the tour will be reaching the Pantheon, an ancient Roman temple that is a must when visiting the Italian capital.
Finally, we'll go to the Piazza Navona, one of the most special squares in all of Rome. You'll have enough time to take impressive pictures of the famous fountains in the square. The Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi, the Fontana del Moro, and the Fountain of Neptune seem especially magical when the night falls over Rome.
Lastly, after 2 to 2.5 hours, we'll say our goodbyes and finish this walking tour.
Minibus Tour (2.5-3 Hours)
At the designated time, we'll meet at the Piazza della Repubblica and we'll hop on a vehicle to explore the most special places of lit-up Rome.
We'll see this square and the Baths of Diocletian. We'll continue traveling to the Basilica of Saint Mary Major. Then, we'll go to the Circus Maximus and Palatine Hill, where we'll admire the Imperial Palaces. The birthplace of the Italian capital is always special, but on this tour, you'll see how wonderful it is lit up!
You'll admire the Colosseum, one of the most iconic landmarks in Rome. We'll also reach the site where the Bocca della Verità, or the Mouth of Truth, is, and pass in front of the Temple of Hercules Victor, the Temple of Portunus, and the Arch of Janus.
Afterward, we'll head to the minibus to drive toward the Theatre of Marcellus and the Capitoline Hill, where we'll stop to see one of the best scenic views of Rome illuminated. We'll return to the vehicle to go to the Piazza Venezia and the Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola at Campus Martius, where we'll step inside this beautiful church.
Of course, we'll visit St. Peter's Square, considered one of the most beautiful and largest squares in the world, where you can see the surroundings of St. Peter's Basilica and the obelisk.
To end the tour, we'll set off to the Piazza Trilussa, in Trastevere, where a nice surprise awaits. About 2.5 to 3 hours later, we'll conclude this magical evening tour.
Summer Tour
In July and August, there are extended daylight hours. This means that our route will lead us to the Colosseum, Imperial Forums, and Circus Maximus during the early evening before these iconic monuments are fully lit up at night.
