First, we'll head to Piazza di Santa Maria, a lively meeting place, especially at night. You’ll head to a genuine pizzeria and order a takeaway homemade pizza. You'll quickly notice the special touch of this pizza, as Rome's pizza is crunchier and more subtle compared to Naples' pizza.
This iconic product will lead us to talk about Queen Margherita of Savoy, who, in the 19th century, popularized the pizza that bears her name. What better way to experience it than by trying a traditional Roman pizza in the oldest neighborhood of the city?
After devouring your pizza, you’ll continue the walking tour and visit a supplì food stand. These delectable rice balls with cheese and tomato are definitely worth trying and are a typical food in Rome that you won't find in other parts of Italy. Afterward, your guide will lead you to one of the most popular ice-cream parlors in Trastevere, where you’ll eat a mouth-watering “gelato” at one of the most famous stands in the neighborhood.
