At 10 am, we'll meet at the Mother and Child statue in the center of Rostov-on-Don. From here we'll start the guided tour of this important Russian city, a hub of culture and shipbuilding. Get your camera ready!
As we walk along Pushkinskaya street, one of the main arteries of the city, we'll review the history of Rostov-on-Don and the main events that took place here. Tradition and Baroque architecture go hand in hand on this street dotted with unusual trees and old buildings. Did you know that Rostov is considered one of the most elegant cities in the southwest of Russia?
The next stop of the tour will be in front of the façade of Don State Technical University, where we'll talk about the importance of culture and outreach in this Russian city. Fun fact: Rostov has three universities! We'll also check out the exterior of the Southern Federal University before continuing to Bolshaya Sadovaya street.
This large avenue in the city center, a street full of atmosphere and important monuments, perfectly reflects the lifestyle of its residents. Among the buildings that we'll see during the tour include the Volga-Kama Bank, the house of Garnakaryan and the Martyn Brothers House.
Afterward, we'll walk to the mansion of Eva Spielrein, where we'll tell you all about the exciting life of this woman before saying goodbye. The tour will end at 12 pm.
