Travel to the Victorian age as you explore one of Canada's most historic cities. This guided tour around Saint John is perfect to discover the attractive monuments and sites in the only town on the Bay of Fundy!

Description

At the time indicated, we'll meet at 65 Water Street, on the shore of the Saint John River. Once everyone has arrived, we'll start this guided visit around Saint John, Canada's proud first incorporated city. What does this mean? You'll find out on this tour!

To start with, we'll learn about the vibrant history of Saint John, located on the Bay of Fundy. To do this, we'll head to the Three Sisters Lamp, a Victorian-style lighthouse that was used by sailors in the 19th century to guide them during dark nights.

Nearby we'll visit Trinity Anglican Church and Saint John's Port, from where we'll have incredible views of Partridge Island. We'll continue to Queen's Square, an enormous green space full of trees and fountains. It's a peaceful oasis in the heart of the city!

The next stop of our tour will be King's Square, a circular square with Victorian-style buildings. As we walk, we'll spot the Imperial Theatre, whose facade will leave you amazed thanks to its minute details. Another iconic place in Saint John is the Loyalist Burial Ground, where the first inhabitants of the city lie.

After exploring the history of Saint John, we'll continue exploring this Canadian town by visiting the City Market, a meeting point both for locals and tourists. Here, we'll discover the best-kept secrets about Saint John's cuisine and crafts.

To finalise this tour, we'll walk along the Harbour Passage Trail, a walk full of climbs and viewpoints that offer the best views of the whole city. Before finishing this visit, we'll explore Fort La Tour, an old military base where we'll say our goodbyes after 2.5 hours of walking.
