Day Trip Details
At the designated time, we'll pick you up at the meeting point in Salalah to begin this adventure along the southern coast of Oman. Are you ready to discover paradisiac beaches and wonderful landscapes? Let's go!
Our first stop will be Al Mughsail, one of the most spectacular beaches in Dhofar. Here, you'll admire the impressive blowholes, natural holes in cliffs where seawater shoots out like a geyser. Depending on the strength of the waves, the bursts can reach several meters in height.
We'll also stop at Mughsail Lagoon, home to various migratory birds. If the weather allows it, you can take a dip in the beach. Don't forget your bathing suit and towel!
Next up, we'll see Zigzag Road, a winding 9.32-mile (15-kilometer) road offering breathtaking views. We'll go up this scenic route as we enjoy the landscape that combines mountains, cliffs, and the ocean in the background. Along the way, we'll stop so you can have lunch on your own.
After lunch, we'll head to one of the region's natural gems: the frankincense trees. These trees, with their unique appearance and bare branches, have been the foundation of the world's finest incense production for centuries.
Lastly, we'll reach Fizayah, a pristine beach with turquoise water on the coast of the Indian Ocean. Here, you'll have free time to relax and enjoy the scenery. However, if you're up for a swim, please be aware that the currents are strong and the coast is rocky.
Finally, we'll return to the starting point and say goodbye after a total of 8 hours exploring the treasures of Dhofar.
