Cocora Valley Day Trip + Entrebosques Coffee Farm Visit
Day Trip Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen, opposite Salento's main park, to begin our adventure. From there, we'll head to the spectacular Cocora Valley, one of the most iconic landscapes of the Colombian coffee-growing region.
Upon arrival, after a 30-minute drive, we'll walk among wax palms, Colombia's national tree, while enjoying the viewpoints and the lush nature of the Andean environment.
After about 2.5 hours of exploration, we'll return to Salento to enjoy a typical Colombian lunch at a restaurant. The meal includes beans, white rice, avocado, and a stewed protein.
Feeling refuelled, we'll transfer to the Entrebosques coffee farm, where you'll learn first-hand about the entire coffee process, from harvesting the beans to preparing the coffee. You'll walk among coffee plantations, see the pulping, drying and roasting processes, and enjoy a special coffee tasting along with a dessert.
Next, we'll return to Salento and take a brief panoramic tour of the town. We'll begin the visit at the viewpoint, walk down the main street, lined with craft shops, and end at Salento's main park, where we'll conclude this 8-hour activity.
