Luger Coffee Farm Tour
Activity Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the main square in Salento and get into a Willys Jeep, a classic Colombian car, as we head to the Luger coffee farm. All ready? We're off!
Once there, we'll start walking through the hacienda's facilities to learn all about the coffee process, from bean to cup. First up, we'll observe the planting process and then the harvesting routine, picking the ripe coffee cherries.
We'll go into the coffee plantations and even plant our own beans and pick ripe coffee cherries ourselves. Afterward, we'll observe the drying, roasting, and even the bean grinding processes, most of which are still done by hand.
After touring this space in the heart of the coffee-growing area, we'll sit down to enjoy a guided tasting, where local baristas will teach us how to identify the characteristics of high-quality Colombian coffee. We'll be coffee experts in no time!
Finally, we'll take you back to the starting point, where we'll arrive 4 hours later.
Itinerary Adjustments
Please note that, due to availability limitations, the farm we'll visit may change, and we'll visit the Buenos Aires coffee plantation instead.
