Ithaca Excursion

We'll meet at 9 am at the Port of Sami to begin an exciting excursion to Ithaca. Ready to explore the setting of Homer's the Odyssey? All aboard!

As we sail north towards Ithaca, you'll hear the most amazing stories and legends about the island, home of the famous Greek hero Odysseus. Eventually, we'll reach our first stop, Vathi, the island's capital.

Upon arrival, we'll disembark to visit this small fishing village nestled in a natural harbor and check out its characteristic Ionian architecture.

Then, we'll return to the boat and sail to Kioni, but not before anchoring at Gidaki Beach to enjoy a relaxing swim in its crystal clear waters - one of the most magical moments of the day!

Once in Kioni, we'll take a stroll through its beautiful flower-filled streets. Did you know that this town has one of the most beautiful harbors in Ithaca? You'll soon be able to see for yourself!

In Kioni, you will also have free time to refuel at a local restaurant. After grabbing a bite to eat, we'll return to the boat and make our way back to Sami. On the way, we'll stop at Sarakiniko Beach for another relaxing swim. 

The excursion will conclude around 4 pm.
