Tour Description

Are you ready to discover the most beautiful sights of San Juan? If so, we'll meet at the indicated time at Plaza Colón, from where we'll start this walking tour in which we'll explore the magic and history of this colonial city.

We'll start walking along Calle San Francisco until we reach the church of the same name, where we'll learn about its past through its restorations over the years. Then, we'll go in search of the iconic Plaza de Armas, a meeting point for the locals since colonial times. Did you know that it served as a fruit market?

We'll walk along Calle Tanga and Calle Luna, where we'll learn about the curious history of the famous blue cobblestones that pave the narrow streets of Old San Juan. When you least expect it, we'll be setting foot on Calle Norzagaray for spectacular views of the Atlantic and the vibrant La Perla neighbourhood.

Next, we'll head to the outskirts of the Castillo de San Cristobal, one of the most important bastions of the Caribbean. We'll admire the building while discussing the historical defensive purpose of the surrounding wall. Our next stop will be in front of the Puerta de la Bandera. There, we'll learn about the evolution of the Puerto Rican flag and enjoy some free time to take pictures.

Afterwards, we'll head to the Castillo de San Felipe del Morro, where, while contemplating its façade, we'll discover the military history. Time permitting, we'll make a brief visit to the Ballajá Barracks before continuing on to San José Church and the square that adorns it, crowned by the statue of Juan Ponce de León.

Lastly, we'll stroll along the Calle de Cristo, passing the Cathedral of San Juan Bautista, and close the tour with a visit to the Capilla del Cristo de la Salud. As we walk through it, we'll tell you how this religious site has become an iconic place in the city.

Finally, we'll say goodbye at this last point after a 2-hour tour.
