Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in San Salvador to begin a panoramic tour of the city. Are you ready to discover the essence of Greater San Salvador?

Our first stop will be the Zona Rosa, one of the most modern areas of the capital, where much of the cultural and nightlife is concentrated. Here, we'll also see the current Presidential House, a symbol of the country's political power. Nearby, a curious surprise awaits us: the Parque del Principito, a small corner that connects us with the famous story of Saint-Exupéry, ideal for a short walk and some unique photos!

Back on board the vehicle, we'll head for the Santa Elena area, one of the most sought-after areas in El Salvador. From the Mirador El Águila viewpoint, we'll enjoy spectacular views of the city and the imposing volcanoes that surround it.

Next, we'll visit the Military Museum, located in the former Presidential House. We'll walk through its corridors while we discover the recent history of the country and admire the relief map of El Salvador, an excellent way to learn about its geography.

From there, we'll head to the revitalised historic centre of San Salvador, where the city's growth began in colonial times. We'll take a walking tour of the main squares, such as Plaza Libertad and Plaza Gerardo Barrios, where the statue of the eponymous president is located. Around the square, we'll find important government buildings, such as the National Palace or the avant-garde National Library.

We'll enter the El Rosario Church, an example of modern religious architecture that will surprise you from the inside. And, of course, a visit to the Metropolitan Cathedral, where Monsignor Romero rests in his crypt, is a must. His legacy is still very present in the life of the country.

After setting foot on El Salvador's point zero, we'll move on to the National Theatre, one of the most important performing arts centres in the country, and other emblematic places that will allow us to better understand the history and transformation of this very special city.

Finally, we'll return to your hotel after a 3.5-hour guided tour.
