North Seymour Island Tour
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel on Santa Cruz Island and drive to the Itabaca Channel. There, we'll take a ferry to Baltra Island.
Once we arrive, we'll take a 35-minute yacht ride to North Seymour Island. On this volcanic islet, we'll spot colonies of frigate birds, gulls and blue-footed boobies that live there and, if it's mating season, we'll observe their unique mating rituals.
This area is also full of palo santo trees, an ancient plant that shamans used for therapeutic purposes. What's more, thanks to the area's geographical conditions, we'll also see areas of cactus and salt bushes. As we walk, keep your eyes peeled downward as well, as we may spot the endemic Galapagos iguana. Continuing with the native fauna, on the other side of the island we'll spot dozens of sea lions.
Later, we'll enjoy a traditional lunch on the beach or on the boat, featuring rice and fish. With renewed energy, from North Seymour Island, we'll sail back to the north coast of Santa Cruz Island. Here, we'll disembark at Las Bachas beach, where you'll have about 40 minutes of free time to snorkel in its crystal clear waters and spot sea turtles, starfish, and reef sharks.
Finally, from Las Bachas beach we'll return by road to your hotel on Santa Cruz Island, where we'll conclude this 7-hour activity.
