Day Trip Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel on Santa Cruz Island. Once we're all ready, we'll take a bus for a 45-minute ride to the Itabaca Channel, where we'll board a boat to South Plaza Island.
Upon arrival, we even may be greeted by several families of sea lions at the island's dock. We'll carefully disembark to take a walk around the island, where we'll observe blue-footed boobies and iguanas resting under the shade of the cacti. We can even spot several hybrid iguanas, the result of mating between marine iguanas and land iguanas.
Next, we'll move to Punta Carrión, a small bay where we'll go snorkeling to discover the marine life of the Galápagos. We'll make a stop to refuel with a lunch consisting of salad, meat or fish and rice or potatoes.
Continuing along our route, we'll reach a cliff to check out the reddish vegetation forming a kind of blanket that covers the rocks - a panoramic view that will leave you speechless!
On the way back to the dock, we'll visit a beach where one of the largest colonies of sea lions in the Galapagos Islands lives. After 8 hours enjoying the charms of this paradise, we'll say goodbye at the starting point.
