Day 1: Santa Marta - Cartagena
At the scheduled time we'll pick you up from your hotel in Santa Marta and begin our 2-day tour to Cartagena de Indias. Are you ready?
During the journey, we'll pass Barranquilla, known for its famous Carnaval, and we'll make a pit stop for breakfast. We'll make our way to the first hotel where we'll spend the night and check in hassle-free.
Afterwards, we'll take you to Barú, where we'll enjoy a morning on Playa Blanca (White Beach) and a typical lunch from Cartagena. Time to re-energise! In the afternoon, we'll return to Cartagena to take you to the hotel where you'll spend the night.
The day cannot end with a party on a chiva bus through the modern city of Cartagena. What a high note to end our first day on! Lastly, you'll have some free time to grab some dinner in the fortified city ofGetsemaní. See you tomorrow!
Day 2: Cartagena - Punta Arena - Santa Marta
We'll start the following day with breakfast in the hotel. Afterwards, we'll go on a guided tour of the essential landmarks in this city on Colombia's Caribbean coast. We'll venture into the Castle of San Felipe de Barajas, where we'll learn about the history of the enslavement which marked Cartagena during the colonial era.
Afterwards, we'll make our way to the walled old town until we reach the Museo del Oro (Museum of Gold), which houses more than 600 pieces of gold, silver and ceramic that date back to the Precolombian age. We'll continue walking around the picturesque streets of Cartagena as we pass by Plaza de San Pedro Claver Square and Plaza de Bolívar Square.
After having a delicious lunch at a local spot, we'll make our way back to Santa Marta, where you'll arrive at your hotel at around 8 pm. Until next time.
