Tour Options

When you make your reservation, you can choose between a tour with a picnic or a tour with lunch. Below, we explain the details of each route:

Tour with Picnic

After getting on the bus at the meeting point, we’ll begin a 40 km (24.8 mi) trip south of Santiago. We’ll pass near the Maipo Valley, taking in spectacular landscapes.

As soon as we arrive at Viña Santa Rita, its charm will be evident with its gardens and architecture. In fact, did you know it has been declared a Historic Monument? We’ll assign you bicycles and helmets to start pedaling through Centenario Park before heading to the vineyards, which stretch as far as the eye can see.

While listening to stories about the winery’s foundation, we’ll reach the cellars to learn about the wine-making process, from vine to glass. Of course, we’ll talk about its famous 120 wines. Did you know it was named the best Cabernet Sauvignon in South America by The Washington Post? We'll also enjoy a tasting of 3 wines: one Reserva and two Gran Reserva.

Next comes one of the most anticipated moments of the tour. We’ll sit down in the gardens of Viña Santa Rita for for a picnic consisting of a cheese and cold-cut board and a traditional ciabatta sandwich. Everything will be accompanied by one Santa Rita wine, carefully selected to appreciate the essence of the central valley’s terroir.

After enjoying the food, we’ll head to the Andean Museum at Viña Santa Rita, where we’ll take a guided tour to admire more than 3,000 ethnographic pieces that connect us with the richness and past of the region’s pre-Columbian cultures. The museum’s minimalist and modern architecture in the middle of the valley will surprise you.

Finally, we’ll return to the vehicle to begin the trip back to the original meeting point in Santiago, where we’ll finish the tour 8 hours later.

Tour with Lunch

In this case, we'll follow the same itinerary described in the previous option. Instead of a picnic, we'll enjoy a delicious 3-course lunch at the Viña Santa Rita restaurant.
