São Tomé Guided City Tour

Itinerary

At the scheduled time, you'll be collected from your hotel in São Tomé and from there, we'll make our way to the National Museum of São Tomé and Príncipe, located in the São Sebastião Fort.

At this location, we'll discover the history of the city of São Tomé. The importance of this city is notorious due to its status as the capital of the island of the same name as the country that also forms part of the island of Príncipe.

After recounting the recent past of this island African country, we'll continue our tour of the capital by visiting the Espaço Cacau. In this cultural and gastronomic space, where popular biennial art is celebrated, we'll learn of the local importance of cacao.

The next stop will be at the Nossa Senhora de Graça Cathedral. From there, we'll take a stroll until we reach the local market to discover which are the most popular fruits, fish and spices in each stall. This part of the tour is sure to tickle your tastebuds, so afterwards, we'll be treated to a local traditional lunch.

After lunch, we'll finally return to the hotels in  São Tomé. The tour is set to last around 6 hours.

Pickup

This tour includes pickup from your hotels in the city of São Tomé. If you are staying outside of this area of the island, you'll be collected at the scheduled time from the following meeting point: Roundabout on Avenida de la Independencia, at the cross with the Avenida de las Naciones Unidas.
